Very cute tags! I try to use the last part of my glue sticks as well. You will cringe, however, when I admit that I have been known to scrape it out with my fingernails if I don’t have a good tool handy!
Lol oh my gosh Tia that gave me a giggle! I would not be able to do that because I don't have any finger nails, and I hate sticky fingers lol. I've got to give you credit though for using that last bit of glue! Us crafters do what we gotta do! 😂😂🩷🩵
I use book art or beautiful calendars to make covers but never thought about making tags… Merci for this great idea😊
Book art and calendars to make covers is a great idea Loulou! I have some calendars aswell, mostly of animals and I've been using them for the centre pages of signatures. I love that we can reuse all these things for junk journals and we have so many options! 😄💚💚
That math thing is sad 🤣😂🤣😂💙💙💙 I’m glad you found better hobbies. 😂
Hahaha Sarah its a wee bit sad but you aren't supposed to agree with me! lol. As punishment, you must write out your timetables ten times young lady! 😜😂🩵🩷
Very awesome Bonny, love them 💜💜💜 While I was sitting with my patient the other day, I collaged a bunch of pages from a paint chip trifold thingy, using junk mail I coffee dyed, that I was going to use for the paper roll you made, oh well, there's plenty more of that, lol. Heading to the lake in a bit for the rest of the weekend, mixed up some coffee glue and will finish them up out there. I cut them to look like file folders, so will sew a few pages in them and make small journals I think. The church resale shop by the lake has 50% off today, you know what that means... my addiction won't allow me to miss it, lol, jeepers!! 😂🤣😂 So, time to get some food together and head out,. We went from heat index of 115 with crazy humidity, just a week ago, to 46 degrees overnight, just crazy, but great sleeping weather at the lake for sure. 😊 Have a wonderful weekend!!! 💜💜💜
Oooh you're always making so many interesting things! You definitely need a UA-cam channel! Then we can livestream together one day. Hehe we'd be in all sorts of trouble! 😂😂. Church sale! I'm so jealous. I hope you found lots of crafty goodies! 🙂💚💚
Bonny, you are purely the best!! Thanks for doing you and keeping on with "from recycle to art" style!! Love that still!! ✨💕🌻x x
Oh Renee I can't thank you enough for this AMAZING happy mail! It truly was better than anything Santa Claus has ever brought me! Love loved everything, especially all those gorgeous avocado dyed papers, including the little scraps!! And all those little pieces of ephemera, tickets, forms. You sent enough to last me a lifetime!! So thankful for your generosity! 🙂💜💙💚
Neat collaboration!!! I'm curious now to see what she came up with on her papers!!!
Thank you Betty! Yes yes, check out what Kirsten used! She did one with twisted crepe paper to make it look like lace. I knew she'd come up with some wonderful and fun ideas! 😄🩵🩷
That picture fit in the envelope window just right!!!!! This book is all coming together nicely!!!!!! When you were talking about the huge chunk being missing, I said, "Aw, just leave it!!!!" That's my reasoning at times. Its a junk journal and things like that just add to the "junkiness"!!!!!! Bonny, I get a real kick out of watching your videos!!! You are so entertaining!!!!!
Thank you so much Betty! I really love the picture on that magazine page. Wish I had the original of that old book! So lovely! I do love how it peeks through the window as well. Hehe I don't mind a hole in a paper now and then either. The junkier the better! lol 😄😂💚
Haha, at least you've culled some gluesticks from the graveyard. You had way too many hanging about.
Unfortunately Jamesy that was filmed a little while ago and I've added 2 or 3 more to the gluesticks graveyard since then lol 😂🩵🩵
Fabulous art session, Bonny!! Hahah, we junk journalers all have our favourite ‘ glue stick diggers’ 😅 I’ve been using a thrifted butter spreader for years! Love all your ideas and fun Art time 🌸
Thank you Caroline! A little bit of cheaty mixed media lol. I would love to replicate those tags with inks and paint. I love the patterns so much! Butter spreader!! Now that's what I need!. Using the card always makes my hands so sticky lol 😂💚💛
Lovely ! They turned out so well. ❤
Thanks Molly! I feel like a cheat! lol. I'd love to replicate the tags with real paint and ink. That magazine page is so lovely! 🙂💚💛
Oooo yes I have a couple of magazines with wallpaper sample pics they also make great tags or for background...its always the simple things that make it and get us excited Tfs ❤
Wallpaper sample pics would be nice too! I've been trying to use up some magazines lately and these art magazines have such nice pictures in them. I really love the one that looks all inky and painty! 🙂💚💛
I’m so jealous of your rolls of brown paper🤣love your tags
Hi hi Faye! Oh I wish you lived closer so I can dump them on your doorstep, ring the doorbell and run! lol. It's beautiful thick paper but the rolls are so big it's so hard to cut down to size lol 😄🩵🩷
WoW a simple way to make beautiful tags. Nice. ❤
Thank you Vicky! They're like mixed media cheat tags lol. Oh I'd love to be able to reproduce them with ink and paint! That magazine image is gorgeous! 😄🩵🩵
Like the brown paper Bonny. I’ve just been throwing out the last bits of the glue sticks so I’ll have to give this a try. Cute tags!
Noooo Janine you naughty girl. You have to use that last little annoying bit in the end cap. And you need to get super annoying sticky fingers like me lol. 😂😂🩵🩷
They look great Bonny, and I am so glad to see that I am not the only one who scrapes out the end of glue sticks with a screwdriver! It was riveting 😂
Hahaha Marja the things us recyclers do! I really hate doing it I must confess lol. And notice how I must film it to guilt those that don't, into doing it too? lol 😜😂🩵🩵
They are neat. Good idea. How are you and clivey doing? I'm doing good.
Hi hi lovely Robin! Clivey and I are doing ok. He's been very naughty waking me up at 6am every morning for breakfast. He jumps up on my bed meowing and walks all over me with his pokey feet. I swear it feels like a baby elephant on stilts walking on me lol 😂😂💚🩵
Very nice video!! The tags look just beautiful!! Great images you found for them!! TYFS
Thank you Gwen! I really love the magazine page that looks like ink and paint. I really want to try to replicate it myself with ink and paint. It's so lovely! 🙂🩷🩵
Love the art magazines and that is great brown paper 😊
Me too Deborah! They're full of great pictures to use and backgrounds as well. These pages were great, especially the one that looks like ink and paint. So gorgeous! 🙂💚🧡
Me too Deborah! They're full of nice backgrounds and pictures to use in journals. I especially love the page that looks like ink & paint. So so gorgeous! 🙂💚🧡
A damp micro fiber cloth is awesome in the craft room! Love your tags!
Ohhh yes, that's probably what I need! Glad to be be rid of the wet wipes! Glad you like the tags. So easy and there are lots of nice pages in magazines that we can use 🙂💚
Fun.. I like them 😊
Thanks Cathy! Nice and easy little project. I am trying to use up a pile of magazines! 😄💚
@@BonnyAndClive ❤️
@@CatCraftsGreeneyes 🥰🥰
How do you keep them from unravling?
Hi Cynthia! After cutting up so many, I can kind of identify which ones will unravel and which ones won't. This particular tablecloth has small tight crocheting joining the "doilies", so they don't tend to unravel. Some of the tablecloths have a very large, looser crocheted join, and those will definitely unravel unless you glue them down. 🙂💚💚
These are fun.
Thanks Lucy! It was quite fun seeing what Kirsten used and if we'd double up and use the same papers lol. I really enjoyed this collab! 😄🩵🩷
💙
🙂🩷🩵🍒🍭
I can't wait to do this. I thought I was the only one who saved the painted baby wipes. I also save the washing machine color catching cloths. LOL. You have a new subscriber ! 😊
Hehe I'm so glad to find someone else that saves the painty baby wipes! I thought I was just being a complete crafty hoarder! 😂😂. Phew! I feel more normal now lol. Thank you for subbing! I love recycling and rescuing random stuff from going in the bin so I hope you find some more fun projects on my channel that you can enjoy 🙂🩷🩵
The Chinese writing came out so cool! And I think that it's not sad at all that you enjoy doing maths for fun. It probably is good at keeping your brain young just as some people enjoy doing Sudoku and crosswords.
Yes! That's what I always tell my husband; it's no different to enjoying sudoku or crosswords! lol. I really love the Chinese newspaper too. Each character is like a little piece or art for me. So lovely. Actually you might like this video too ua-cam.com/video/x-qo-dWSvL0/v-deo.htmlsi=DO6M4MBL4vZFhBBd .I used advertisements out of a Chinese newspaper a little while ago to make tickets or tiny journal cards. I didn't care what the ad was for; they just looked so cute! 😄🩵🩷
Hi Bonny…I love how you and Kirsten got together to edge your pages. You were both fun to watch🥰🌸

❤
@@captgray2000 Thank you Mary! 🙂🩷🩵
Yep, all great ideas, saving the video as I'll never remember any, no matter how simple and easy, lol. I think using the wet wipe and making ruffles with it would look awesome, although I know this was a wrap around challenge 🥴 Math was my favorite subject, but I got lost at some point in advanced algebra and that was all she wrote, lol. The teacher, while passing out the finals test whispered to me, "you need to pass this test to pass the class".... lol, I passed. Funny, cuz finishing up my third year of German, that teacher said, "you might wanna skip taking German next year"... I did, it was art and craft classes for me my senior year, much more fun for sure 🤔🤣😂🤣
This was such a fun project Carol! I really enjoyed it. Have you watched Kirstens video yet? She used crepe paper and twisted it to make it look like lace. Looked so good! I knew she'd come up with some wonderful and fun ideas! 😄💚🩷
@@BonnyAndClive Yep, I watched it right after yours and she responded immediately to my comment... just sayin', lol. 🤭 I loved the crepe paper idea and told her so, I saved her video as well, such easy, yet effective ideas I'll forget about, so needed to save and working on an idea journal as well, cuz yep, I forget who did what videos when I'm looking for something I know I wanted to try, jeepers, lol.
Loved the crepe paper! Also the black and white pics was really cool too! 🙂🩵🩷
@@BonnyAndClive The black and white pics was one of my favorites as well, they were all great, both of yours and hers, again, so simple, yet it works 🥰
I do like quick and easy! 😁💚
Very awesome Bonny 💜💜💜 It amazes me how much "extra" stuff you came across that works perfectly with it, like the "Egg Studio Crafts" picture, the ticket, and the badge, but think my favorite thing is the chopstick packet 😊 Also, emailed you, just an FYI incase you don't check emails again for a month or two, lol.
Thanks Carol! That chopstick packet is so cute! Usually they just come in plain old brown paper packs here, so when I came across these ones, I just had to keep them! lol. The Girl Guide badge was a last minute find when digging about my craft room. Who knows what else is hiding away in here! lol. Hehe the mailbox was full and I didn't even realise. Ten years of never deleting emails will do that lol. Deleted a zillion old emails and now it should be right for a few more years lol 😂💚💚
Hi Bonnie... so happy to see you!!! As always cute and unique ideas, and of course some giggles... 😊
Hi Hunny! This was such a fun little collab. Kind of like an experiment; you don't know the results until you try it lol. I really love the magazine pages and the painty papers the best. For once I liked the colour the best instead of the neutrals!! lol 😄💚🤎
If you're concerned about what you're putting into your work, you might want to check Wikipedia about the Epoch Times. Just saying. If you have an Asian grocery store nearby, they generally have other, less skeevy publications, usually for free. If not, then they only cost a little bit and as ephemera, well worth it.
I'm usually not too bothered what the text says when it comes to foreign languages books and papers. I'm sure I have probably made many a tag or journal card over the years using pages with a swear word or something in foreign language lol. Even when I use English book pages, sometimes the odd naughty word or subject matter slips by lol. I guess that's the risk when recycling books, newspapers, magazines etc. I just use whatever I happen to come across in every day life. I also have a Bangladesh newspaper that looks really pretty too. Each word is like a little piece of art in itself 🙂🤎
@@BonnyAndClive Epoch is a little worse than swear words, I just want to make sure people are aware of that publication in particular.
Yeh I know what it is. I don't mind taking a free copy to rip up for crafting lol. Are you in Australia? They have it for free out front of a lot of the Chinese real estates etc. There is another free one but I can't think of the name. It's mostly houses for sale etc. It's quite thick and glossy colour pictures. I'm surprised they go to such expense for a free newspaper! 😆💚
Very clever ideas. Loved the map, gelli paper, and magazine pages. TFS❤
Thank you Teresa! I really loved the magazine pages and painty pages. It was such a fun project. Not sure if you have seen Kirstens video yet, but she used crepe paper and twisted it to make it look like lace. Really loved that one! I knew she would come up with lots of wonderful ideas! 🙂💚🤎
I really like the neutral map wrap.
Hi hi Cara! I love that brown map as well. Oh the good old days of having to pull the car over to look up a street directory! Our kids and grandkids don't know how easy they have it lol 😄💚🤎
Great result and nice looking with just one strip. Merci😊
Thank you Loulou! It was a really fun project and I love some of the results. Not sure if you have seen Kirstens video yet, but she used some crepe paper and twisted it to look like lace. It was so lovely! I knew she would come up with some wonderful ideas! 🙂💚🤎
Bonnie you did an amazing job with that cookbook journal it will sell fast. Love how you popped in the pictures and extra cookbooks. Beautiful ❤❤❤
Thank you Cathy! I really love how this journal turned out. I managed to find a few things in the craft room that were cooking related. I love adding those random stuff to journals; the Girl Guide badge was a cute find and perfect for this journal 🙂💚🤎

Hi Bonny, those edges are all so pretty! I really need to go through my old books and get to work. I have some old newspaper pages that were wrapped around plates and cups that I found while going through my parents things now that they’re both gone. That Chinese newspaper is gorgeous. Tfs, hugs, Julie 🥰
Hehe Julie saving the newspapers wrapped around cups and plates is just the sort of thing I'd do too lol. The best craft supplies come from random places and things like that lol. Years ago I pulled up the carpet at our old house as it had nice wooden floorboards underneath, and I was very excited to find some old newspapers from the early 50's under there lol. 😄💚🤎

Oh my goodness Bonnie I love the journal. I have all my Mama and grandmothers loose recipes. I'm going to start on a cookbook journal. Thanks for sharing ❤❤
Thank you Cathy! I love love how it turned out. Oh I would sooo enjoy seeing you make a cookbook journal as well. The great thing is there are so many cook books around to make ephemera etc from, and how wonderful you have your mums and grandmothers receipts! They are always great to use in journals! 🙂🧡🤎
@@BonnyAndClive thanks so much! !!
